Are you a cycling aficionado? Then the Alblasserwaard is the place to be! Drive on the dyke along the river “De Linge”, the main feature of the Lingeroute: a well-known signposted Dutch AA route. Enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings and take a break in places such as Acquoi, Asperen and of course Heukelum. You could also choose the Giessen-Merwede route: through the historic centre of Gorinchem, ferry to Woudrichem, via Merwededijk to Werkendam and back with the ferry and then along the river Giessen.
